I left school to start a Furniture Making Apprenticeship at the age of 17. I had passed all NZQA assessments and trade exam after only 6000hrs of the 8000hr apprenticeship and moved into interior fitting of boats in the Marine industry as I was passionate about yacht racing at the time.
I spent close to 20 years in the marine industry, 12 of which were with Alloy Yachts Int fitting Super Yacht interiors including work abroad in France, Spain and Queensland, Australia.
I have a flare for the intricate and a little obsessive about detail. I’m committed to a high standard of finish as I feel there is a need for it in an industry full of mass produced items at low cost with a poor finish.
I love the idea of making peoples dreams and schemes come to fruition and have found rich reward in bringing a personal touch to all projects I take on.
